New president named for Guy Carpenter

Dean Klisura on Thursday was named president of Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, the reinsurance business of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., effective Oct. 1, 2020.
He will continue to be based in New York and report to Peter Hearn, CEO of Guy Carpenter, the firms said in a statement Thursday.
In his newly created role, Mr. Klisura will be responsible for Guy Carpenter’s North America, international, specialty and global strategic advisory units and will assist Mr. Hearn in leading the firm’s overall strategy.
Mr. Klisura was most recently president of Global Placement and Advisory with Marsh, the primary unit of Marsh & McLennan, the statement said.
Lucy Clarke, president of Marsh JLT Specialty, will assume responsibility for Marsh’s global placement operations.
