Ehinger exits Guy Carpenter; broker makes management changes

Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC’s global head of operations John Ehinger has left the firm and his responsibilities have been taken on by Neil Mayer, Carpenter’s newly appointed chief operating officer.
Mr. Ehinger joined the reinsurance brokerage unit of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. in 2017. Previously, he had spent more than a decade at rival Willis Re.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he is now CEO of LIO in Philadelphia. No further details were available.
Mr. Mayer was named COO and appointed to New York-based Carpenter’s executive committee on Monday. Previously, he was COO North America of the brokerage.
In addition, Lara Mowery was named to the newly created position of global head of distribution and joined the firm’s executive committee. Previously, she was head of Carpenter’s global property center.
John Crichton, chief information officer, was also named to the executive committee.
