BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Terry Ledbetter

Terry Ledbetter, retired chairman and CEO of Markel Corp.’s State National Cos. division, and Luke Ledbetter, its former chief underwriting officer, said they have formed a fronting insurer, the Kestrel Group.

The statement said Kestrel, with offices in Austin and Dallas, Texas, will be the exclusive producer for four insurers that are licensed with broad admitted and surplus lines capabilities.

Terry Ledbetter is Kestrel Group’s executive chairman, while Luke Ledbetter, his son, is its president and CEO.

Kestrel’s capital partners include AmTrust Financial Services Inc.
