Heffernan announces leadership changes

Walnut Creek, California-based Heffernan Insurance Brokers Inc. said Wednesday that executive vice president Brian Dantzig has been named president of retail, among other leadership changes.
Heffernan said all retail branches will report to Mr. Dantzig.
The broker also named Elizabeth Bishop, who is now executive vice president, chief sales officer for the company, where she will oversee key sales strategies, producer trainings and Heffernan’s niche practices.
Ms. Bishop will continue her oversight of personal lines, Petaluma, California, commercial and Portland, Oregon, operations and work directly with Mr. Dantzig, the statement said.
In addition, John Tallarida, now executive vice president and CEO of London-based Heffernan unit Costero Brokers Ltd., will become Heffernan’s director of carrier relations, overseeing all insurer relations for the Heffernan Group.
He will also be responsible for Heffernan’s new cyber panel initiative and continue as Costero’s CEO, the statement said.
