Ice cream brand fined $9 million for shady practices

The Federal Court of Australia has fined Peters Ice Cream $12 million Australian ($9 million) for obstructing competition by blocking its food distribution subsidiary from selling competing brands, Daily Mail reported. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission found that Peters’ distributing subsidiary PFD Food Services, the largest distributor of single-serve ice creams in Australia, sold only Peters’ brand ice cream.
