The Phi Phi Islands in Thailand is continuing to grapple with intense water shortage, bringing some business operations to the brink of temporary closure, Thaiger reported. Sanphet Sisawat, president at Krabi Tourism Association, said the private firm responsible for supplying tap water to businesses and resorts in the island stopped its service on April 23 as the water reserve was nearly depleted. Large hotels, resorts, and businesses on the island are reportedly almost out of water.
