Turner Classic Movies, per its lineup and commercials teasing the all-day event, is featuring insurance-themed movies Wednesday. Not sure why — Business Insurance reached out to the network and hasn’t heard back.
While you might have already missed Wednesday morning’s “The Golden Fleecing,” a 1940 comedy about a mild-mannered insurance salesman who gets mixed up with gangsters, and “Accidents will Happen,” a 1938 crime drama about an insurance man who tangles with a fraud ring, there’s still time to tune in.
Airing this afternoon are “Pitfall,” a 1948 mystery about a married insurance man who falls for a criminal’s girlfriend, “Roadblock, a 1951 suspense film about an insurance agent’s greedy wife who leads him into a life of crime, and several other films airing straight into the evening hours, all having stood the test of time, relaying the message: there’s nothing boring about insurance.
Hunkering down at home during the pandemic no doubt caused some people to rethink their living space: new throw pillows, a better couch, a fresh coat of paint perhaps.
