Ever Given’s owner tries to cap some claims at $115 million

Japan-based Shoei Kisen Kaisha Ltd., owner of the Ever Given containership which blocked the Suez Canal for six days in March, has set up a limitation fund to cap some claims against the shipowners at $115 million, Business Insider reported. The vessel is already facing a $916 million compensation claim from the Suez Canal Authority.
