Acrisure LLC said Tuesday that it has named Matthew Marolda as its first chief innovation officer.
Mr. Marolda, who most recently was executive vice president of portfolio and data science at Tulco LLC, will focus on Acrisure’s artificial intelligence, data and technology platform. He is based in Boston and reports to Greg Williams, president and CEO of Acrisure, according to a spokeswoman.
Mr. Williams said the broker’s AI platform and Acrisure Technology Group will benefit from having a dedicated leader.
Caledonia, Michigan-based Acrisure, which last month raised $3.4 billion from investors, is the world’s 10th largest brokerage, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
Brokerage Acrisure LLC on Wednesday said it had bought artificial intelligence firm Tulco LLC’s insurance practice in a $400 million deal.
