Conference calls? Nope. Virtual luncheons? Nope. Gift cards? Cha-ching!
So reveals the results of a recent survey that aims to give employers a glimpse on how to manage the risk of crumbling morale among now telecommuting and possibly disengaged workers in light of the coronavirus shutdowns.
Blackhawk Network Inc. conducted an online survey on March 23 polling 1,214 telecommuting workers on what they want from their employers to help them over the hurdle of working from home with no end in sight.
Of the responses released Wednesday, 43% opted for rewards or incentives for work-related accomplishments — with 84% saying a gift card would do the trick, 25% chose virtual office get-togethers like luncheons to help boost work satisfaction, and 21% selected daily video conferencing.
