Alera Group Inc. has acquired West Texas Insurance Exchange Inc., Alera said in a statement Wednesday.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Odessa, Texas-based West Texas Insurance Exchange, established in 1962, concentrates on the oil and gas and trucking industries and is also active in commercial auto, umbrella liability, workers compensation and employee benefits, the statement said.
All employees will remain at the firm’s existing locations under the name West Texas Insurance Exchange, an Alera Group Co. LLC statement said.
“WTIE Inc. has offices in Odessa and Midland, Texas, employing 25 employees. All are staying on board and excited about what the future holds with the Alera Group,” Jeff Rea, West Texas’ managing partner, said.
Alera Group Inc. on Tuesday said it has acquired Orion Risk Management Insurance Services Inc., a Newport Beach, California-based brokerage.
