Aon PLC on Monday named longtime brokerage executive Lambros Lambrou as CEO of its commercial risk solutions division.
New York-based Mr. Lambrou will report to Mike O’Connor, co-president of Aon, who previously held the role.
Mr. Lambrou has worked at Aon for 30 years and most recently was CEO of global specialties, which is part of the commercial risk solutions division, and he will maintain responsibility for the specialties business.
He will also take on responsibility for the Aon broking business, which was previously led by Tom Fitzgerald, who left Aon late last month.
Mr. Lambrou has wide global experience at Aon and is committed to “leveraging data and analytics to help them more efficiently match risk with capital,” Mr. O’Connor said in a statement.
Mr. O’Connor had maintained the CEO of commercial risk solutions title after being named co-president last year.
Aon P.L.C. on Tuesday said it has appointed Aon Benfield CEO Eric Andersen and Aon Risk Solutions CEO Michael O’Connor to the new positions of co-presidents of the brokerage, effective immediately, and will drop its Aon Benfield and Aon Risk Solutions brands.
