The Lloyd’s Market Association has tapped Sheila Cameron to be its next chief executive officer, the organization said Tuesday.
She will succeed David Gittings, who will be stepping down at year-end after 12 years in the position, the association said in a statement.
Ms. Cameron is head of international operations at Navigators Underwriting Ltd., with responsibility for leading all operational and change management activity within Navigators International, including its Lloyd’s business and platforms in Europe, Asia and Latin America, the statement said. She is based in London.
“Sheila’s background and experience in the London Market will be invaluable in driving the LMA’s agenda forward,” Neil Maidment, chairman of LMA, said in the statement. “David has worked successfully over many years to ensure that the interests of market firms have been effectively represented and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him.”
