The Financial Stability Report by the Reserve Bank of India has said that there is a need to assess the resilience of reinsurers in the face of increasing concentration of contingent liabilities increases in some, reported Business Standard.
The report said that reinsurers may come under heavy stress if major risks events happen simultaneously, which could create huge problems for primary insurers, including potential risks of insolvency.
