Take-up of terror insurance likely to grow in India's Goa state

Insurers have said that take-up of terrorism insurance is likely to grow in India's Goa state, The Navhind Times reports.

Annual premium income earned on terror insurance in the state is currently low and is in the range of 200 million Indian rupees ($3.1 million). The premium collected is around 10% of the total premiums collected under general cover. The segment is growing at an annual rate of 25% in India as historic buildings, large firms and temples are taking terror cover.
