Insurers and reinsurers report increased revenues in Tunisia in 2014

Many Tunisia-based insurers and reinsurers, including Assurances Salim, Societe Tunisienne de Reassurance and Societe Tunisienne d'Assurances et de Reassurances S.A., have posted increased revenues in 2014, Asia Insurance Review reported.

Tunis Re's turnover increased 8.6% year on year to 93.29 million Tunisian dinars ($48.1 million) and gross nonlife premium income totaled TND 85.64 million ($44.1 million).

STAR's net written premiums increased 11.25% totaling TND 289.2 million ($149.1 million).

Assurances Salim's turnover totaled TND 50.3 million ($25.9 million), up 16.7%.
