China: 590 typhoon-related claims filed in Zhoushan

Five hundred and ninety claims have been filed so far in the city of Zhoushan in China following the typhoon that hit the city on Sep. 23, reports Jrj.com.cn.

These include 107 agriculture insurance claims, 99 enterprise/property insurance claims and 2 claims related to engineering insurance.

Fixed losses in the city have so far reached 2.2 million Chinese yuan ($359,040).

Disaster assessment teams have already been deployed in majorly affected areas to ensure faster claims payment.
