Experts selected winner

An independent panel of seven judges chose the 2007 Benefit Manager of the Year.
The judges, who represented benefit brokerages, benefit consulting firms, former winners of the award and other benefit-related organizations, were:
John J. Asencio, senior vp and Corporate Health practice leader at Sibson Consulting, a unit of The Segal Co., in New York. Mr. Asencio represents benefit consultants on the panel.Robyn Bayne, a principal and Health and Welfare practice leader in the Dallas office of Buck Consultants Inc., a benefit consulting company member of ACS. Ms. Bayne also represents benefit consultants.Larry Boress, president and chief executive officer of the Midwest Business Group on Health in Chicago. Mr. Boress represents employer group organizations on the panel.David L. Eslick, chairman, president and CEO of USI Holdings Inc. in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. Mr. Eslick represents benefit brokerage firms on the panel.Paul Hackleman, benefits manager for San Mateo County, Calif. Mr. Hackleman is the 2006 Benefit Manager of the Year.Chris McSwain, director of compensation and benefits for SCANA Services Inc. in Columbia, S.C. Mr. McSwain is the 2005 Benefit Manager of the Year.Angelo Nardi, executive vp of Gallagher Benefit Services, a unit of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., in Itasca, Ill.
