Russia-Ukraine war may prove to be contained risk: Fitch

Brian Schneider, senior director and global head of reinsurance at U.S.-based Fitch Ratings Inc., said that the Russia-Ukraine war will prove to be a contained risk although the industry is still in the dark about where the overall loss figure from the war will end up, Reinsurance News reported. Unlike with the COVID-19 pandemic, the industry will cut exposure to Russia and Ukraine relatively quickly, either because they have to, or because they consider it to be uninsurable.
