Liberty Mutual announces hire from Zurich, promotion

Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. on Wednesday said Brandon Fick joined the company from Zurich North America as North America chief underwriting officer and Nate Zangerle has been promoted to chief underwriting officer for global surety.
A spokesman for the company confirmed both are new positions.
Mr. Fick will report to Matthew Moore, global risk solutions president of underwriting, and Neeti Bhalla Johnson, global risk solutions president, who also holds the interim dual role of president of global risk solutions North America. Most recently, Mr. Fick was chief underwriting officer for Zurich North America, a statement said.
Mr. Zangerle will report to Mr. Moore and Tim Mikolajewski, global risk solutions global surety president. He was most recently global surety chief operating officer, global risks, according to the statement.
