Supply chain disruptions due to the COVID-19 lockdowns in China and the surging cost of steel and other components are slowing down the pace of renewable energy sector’s growth in Australia, The Guardian reported. The supply chain woes are threatening both existing and new renewable energy projects with higher costs, and increasing risks for project developers and insurers, according to U.K.-based renewable energy insurer GCube Underwriting Ltd.
