BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

The National Council on Compensation Insurance on Tuesday announced its updated Medical Indicators & Trends dashboard, providing workers compensation stakeholders access to comp claim data collected from 39 jurisdictions through the third quarter of 2021, including COVID-19 information.

Boca Raton, Florida-based NCCI said the dashboard provides an interactive way to visualize medical services provided before and after the spread of the pandemic.

According to NCCI, the dashboard provides an accounting of COVID-19 treated claims, with detailed state-specific Medical Data Reports that include summarized statistics such as impacts to physician services, time to treatment, telemedicine, prescription drugs, hospital outpatient and ambulatory surgical center visits, and COVID-19 treated claim characteristics.

The data used in the dashboard was sourced from workers compensation premium written, which includes experience for large-deductible policies.
