Aviation insurance rates to moderate at fourth quarter renewals

According to insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.’s aerospace unit, aviation insurance buyers are likely to get better pricing during their fourth quarter renewals as rate hikes moderate, Commercial Risk reported. Nigel Weyman, aerospace global executive at Gallagher Aerospace, said that the aviation insurance renewal rate hikes are “notably down” as compared to previous quarters, while stronger capacity is also expected to soften the rates further.
