BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Worldwide Broker Network has named Beecher Carlson multinational practice head Olga Collins as CEO, effective April 12, succeeding Francie Starnes, who has served in that role since 2018.

Ms. Collins will continue in her current role with Beecher Carlson Insurance Services LLC, a unit of Brown & Brown Inc. until April 1, Beecher Carlson said in a statement Tuesday.

Adrian Lo and Scott Swinford, vice presidents, will succeed her as co-leaders of the Beecher Carlson multinational practice, reporting directly to chief operating officer Bill Daly, the Atlanta-based brokerage said.

Before joining Beecher Carlson in 2014, Ms. Collins was risk manager at United Parcel Service Inc., where she worked for 15 years.

Ms. Collins was a Business Insurance Women to Watch honoree in 2019.

She has been a member of Worldwide Broker Network’s board of directors since 2019 and is head of the organization’s young professional academy, the organization said in a statement.

“Olga’s impressive track record of building international insurance relationships and her time as a risk manager give her a deep understanding of client needs,” Alex Gilmore, chairman of Worldwide Broker Network’s board, said in the statement.

Ms. Starnes will serve as CEO emeritus through 2021, the organization said.

Founded in 1989, the independent broker network has more than 100 member companies across 90 countries with revenue of more than $6 billion at year-end 2020.
