Berkshire names regional vice presidents

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Inc. said Wednesday it has named three regional vice presidents.
The Boston-based insurer said it named Shelley Norman senior vice president, management liability, central region, and promoted Kevin Gallagher to senior vice president, management liability, East region, and Sean Cox to senior vice president, management liability, West region.
Ms. Norman, who is based in Chicago, joins Berkshire Hathaway Specialty after more than 25 years at American International Group Inc., where she was most recently financial lines zonal executive.
Mr. Gallagher, who is based in New York, joined Berkshire Hathaway in 2013 as vice president, executive lines.
Mr. Cox, who is also based in New York, joined the insurer as vice president, executive lines, in 2014.
In November, QBE North America said it had hired former Berkshire Hathaway Specialty senior vice presidents Dan Fortin and Todd Greeley to lead its financial lines business.
