Premiums rise by 4% in Hungary

Data from the Hungarian National Bank showed that local insurers’ gross written premiums rose 4.11% year-on-year to 897.6 billion Hungarian forint ($3.02 billion) in the first nine months of 2020, Xprimm reported. Nonlife insurance premiums increased by 5.4%. The insurers’ aggregate gross profit jumped by 27% to HUF70.45 billion.
