BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

San Diego-based ReAlign Insurance Holdings LLC said Thursday it has formed Summit Specialty Insurance Co., a surplus lines insurer that will write a combination of commercial and personal lines.

ReAlign said in a statement that Summit has received the necessary regulatory approvals, and the Omaha, Nebraska-domiciled insurer will begin underwriting late this year.

It said it is seeking authorization to begin underwriting in markets across the country early next year.

Timothy McAuliffe, who is based in Dallas, will serve as Summit’s president. He is also president of ReAlign units National Lloyds Insurance Co. and American Summit Insurance Co., which ReAlign acquired in July.

Mr. McAuliffe was formerly president of Ironshore Insurance Services,  a unit of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., and president, excess casualty, at American International Group Inc. unit American Home Assurance Co.
