BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Capsicum Reinsurance Brokers LLP will rebrand as Gallagher Re effective Oct. 1, the specialist reinsurance broker said in a statement Tuesday.

London-based Capsicum Re was formed in December 2013 through a strategic partnership with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. It places $5.4 billion of gross written premium annually through its 160 employees in the U.K., U.S., Bermuda, Brazil and Chile, the statement said.

In January, Gallagher increased its stake in Capsicum Re to 100% from 33%.

The rebranding follows the formation in July of Capsicum’s executive committee consisting of Chairman Raja Balasuriya, CEO Rupert Swallow, COO Simon Behagg, Finance Director Abbhi Bala, and divisional heads Matt FitzGerald and Alistair Lockhart-Smith, the statement said.

“It’s now the right time to fully align on brand,” Mr. Swallow said in the statement.

Simon Matson, CEO of Gallagher’s broking and underwriting operations in the U.K., called Capsicum Re “a core part of Gallagher’s proposition.”
