Alliant division expands First Nation services with acquisition

Tribal First has acquired AFN Insurance Brokerage, which specializes in insurance and risk management for Canada’s native First Nation governments.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ottawa-based AFN Insurance Brokerage, founded in 1998, exclusively serves First Nations across Canada. Tribal First, a division of Newport Beach, California-based Alliant Specialty Insurance Services Inc., has been providing insurance solutions to First Nations since 1993.
The companies will continue to serve clients from AFN’s Ottawa location.
Parent firm Alliant Insurance Services Inc. is the 10th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
