Former American International Group Inc. Chief Financial Officer Sid Sankaran has been snapped up by health insurance startup Oscar Insurance Corp. as its new CFO.
The New York-based technology-driven health insurer on Wednesday said that Mr. Sankaran will take up the chief financial officer role beginning March 1.
In his new role, Mr. Sankaran will oversee accounting, financial planning and analysis, strategic finance, actuarial, pricing, and plan design from its New York headquarters, the company said in a statement.
Mr. Sankaran was most recently executive vice president and CFO at AIG, where he had worked since 2010. AIG named Mark D. Lyons as executive vice president and CFOin December, replacing Mr. Sankaran.
