Willis Towers Watson PLC recruited former JLT Specialty USA broker Jonathan Oppenheim as construction leader in its Southeast region, part of its North American construction business, the brokerage said in a statement Tuesday.
The previous Southeast construction leader left the brokerage. A Willis Towers Watson spokeswoman declined to provide more details. Last year, Alliant Insurance Services Inc. recruited construction talent from Willis Towers Watson, including its former US construction leader William Noonan.
Mr. Oppenheim most recently was partner in the construction risk partners business of JLT Specialty USA, a unit of Jardine Lloyd Thompson PLC, the statement said. He joined JLT in March 2018 from Houston International Insurance Group.
Based in Atlanta, he will be responsible for business development and managing the company’s construction portfolio in the region, the statement said.
The announcement marks the second senior appointment of a former JLT leader by Willis Towers Watson this week. On Monday, the brokerage said it had recruited Steve Arrowsmith to its captive management operations in Bermuda.
Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. agreed to buy JLT last year.
Willis Towers Watson PLC said Monday that Chairman James McCann will be succeeded by Victor Ganzi, effective Jan. 1, 2019.
