Willis Towers Watson taps Victor Ganzi to become chairman

Willis Towers Watson PLC said Monday that Chairman James McCann will be succeeded by Victor Ganzi, effective Jan. 1, 2019.
Willis Towers Watson said in its statement that in addition to completing his term as chairman three years after the merger of Willis Group Holdings PLC and Towers Watson & Co., Mr. McCann will continue to serve as a director and chairman of the nominating and governance committee.
The statement said Mr. Ganzi has been a Willis Towers Watson director since the January 2016 merger, although his service to the company dates to 2010, when he served as chairman of Towers Watson’s audit committee and as a member of its nominating and governance committee.
Mr. Ganzi is based in New York.
The statement said also that Brendan O’Neill, who has served as a director since 2010, will replace Mr. Ganzi as chairman of the audit committee.
