Tokio Marine Kiln Insurance Ltd. said Tuesday it has established a $100 million intellectual property facility with Aon P.L.C. and several other Lloyd’s of London syndicates.
The facility will be led by Tokio Marine Kiln, the London-based specialist insurer said in a statement. The facility will offer coverage for businesses of all sizes and is designed to help protect against a range of infringement liability risks, initially in the U.S., the United Kingdom and Europe.
Aon first made the announcement about the facility on June 26.
Aon P.L.C. has acquired 601West, a division of Seattle-based intellectual property law firm Lee & Hayes P.L.L.C., and named the company’s co-founder, Lewis Lee, to CEO of Aon’s newly formed Intellectual Property Solutions group.
