Hub buys California trucking broker

Hub International Ltd. said Friday that it has acquired Vacaville, California-based Easy Truck Insurance Services Inc. for an undisclosed sum.
Easy Truck is a retail truck insurance brokerage that provides services to owner-drivers, small fleet and specific large fleets with a nationwide presence, with a primary focus in the western United States, Hub said in statement.
Easy Truck has offices in Hayward, Laguna Hills and Santa Clara, California, and Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The Easy Truck team will join Hub's Transportation specialty practice.
Randy Brousseau and Brett Moore, president and vice president, respectively, of Easy Truck, will initially report to Karl Klus, COO of the Hub transportation specialty practice. Once Easy Truck’s integration into Hub is complete, they will report to Julie Armes, executive vice president of the Hub transportation specialty practice, Hub said in the statement.
Hub International Ltd. is the world’s seventh-largest insurance brokerage, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
