Managing general underwriter for crane industry launched

Specialty Program Group L.L.C. said Thursday it is launching New Heights Insurance Solutions, a managing general underwriter that specializes in providing insurance products for the crane and boom industry.
New Heights President Megan Rose joined the specialty brokerage and underwriter holding company as part of the Norman-Spencer Crane acquisition last week and will run the newly created platform, Summit, New Jersey-based SPG said in a statement.
On April 12, SPG announced that it had acquired the assets of Dayton, Ohio-based Norman-Spencer Agency's crane program, personal lines watercraft program and commercial lines recreational marine program divisions.
“The creation of New Heights is important for SPG and will launch our construction platform. We believe in the team’s ability to build durable solutions for the unique needs of the construction client, starting with crane and expanding into related niches,” Chris Treanor, president and CEO of SPG, said in a statement.
