Allianz taps former Marsh & McLennan exec for aviation slot

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty S.E. said Wednesday that former Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. executive Nicholas Pooley has been named aviation major risks product lead for North America.
Based in New York, Mr. Pooley previously was senior vice president responsible for aviation risk management consulting and strategic leadership at Marsh & McLennan, Allianz said in a statement.
He is replacing David Warfel, regional head of aviation, North America, to whom he will be reporting.
Mr. Pooley will support the development and execution of the aviation major risks strategy, driving the development and implementation of new products, and leading a team of senior underwriters for the airline, aerospace and other aviation-related industries.
Prior to Marsh & McLennan, Mr. Pooley held various positions with Willis Group Holdings P.L.C., eventually serving as vice president, where he provided risk management consulting to a large group of middle-market aviation clients.
