Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group P.L.C. has a median gender pay gap of 35% and a mean pay gap of 44.1%, reflecting the difference between the average pay for men compared with women within the organization.

The gender pay gap rises to a median gap of 64.4% and a mean gap of 75.8% when comparing bonuses, the London-based broker said in a statement Friday. These figures are based on a snapshot of earnings taken in April 2017, according to the statement.

JLT said it is undertaking a number of actions and initiatives to promote gender equality, including continuing to broaden the talent pool to ensure that an equal number of males and females are attracted to apply and requiring the best female candidates on every candidate list for senior recruitment.

“As with most organizations, JLT’s gender pay gap highlights the proportion of male employees versus female employees in senior roles,” Dominic Burke, Group CEO of JLT Group, said in the statement. “At JLT, we are passionate about equality and are confident that we reward people fairly and equitably for the work that they do.”

Separately, QBE Management Services (UK) Ltd. reported an hourly median gender pay gap of 32.5% and a mean pay gap of 32.8%.

U.K. organizations with 250 or more employees are required to publish specific data about their gender pay gap and a written statement and report their data to the government online, beginning from 2017. The requirement was enshrined in the Equality Act of 2010, with the regulations coming into effect on April 5, 2017.

FM Global reported last week a mean hourly pay gap of 36.2% lower for women and median gap of 46.3% at its Windsor, England-based unit while Markel International Ltd., the London-based unit of Glen Allen, Virginia-based Markel Corp., reported a mean hourly pay gap of 39.9% lower for women and a median gap of 36.8%. 

Lloyd’s of London previously reported a gender pay gap of 27.7%, which rises to 36.7% when comparing bonuses.
