The paperwork may not be lovey-dovey, but the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America is reminding sweethearts this week to think about insurance.
“Insurance might not be the most romantic thing to think about on Valentine’s Day, but taking time to evaluate and update your insurance coverage can help get your relationship off to the right start,” Chris Hackett, PCI’s director of personal lines, said Monday in a statement.
‘Tis the season of marriages and proposals, and “insurers want to help you make the best insurance coverage choices, so it’s important to contact your agent or company to talk through options as you plan for your future,” Mr. Hackett said.
To that end, PCI recommends the following insurance tips for couples: obtaining jewelry coverage; marrying policies by way of bundling; understanding policies; investigating options for renters; and shopping around.
Can one find a great "Yellow Submarine" T-shirt while internet shopping? A Ringo Starr throw pillow? But of course!
