USA Risk Group Inc. named Stephen Roseman as president and CEO on Monday, two weeks after the captive manager’s former chief, Gary Osborne, stepped down.
Mr. Roseman is president of Spencer Capital Holdings Ltd., a Rye, New York-based investment firm that bought USA Risk in 2015. He will remain in Rye.
According to a statement by Barre, Vermont-based USA Risk, Mr. Roseman will lead the firm’s operational leadership team and has worked with the team since 2015 to provide “guidance, direction and strategic oversight.”
Mr. Osborne resigned from USA Risk on Jan. 18, a USA Risk spokeswoman said, declining to comment further.
Mr. Osborne joined USA Risk in 1995 and was named president in 2004.
USA Risk is the world’s fifth-largest captive manager with more than 200 captives under management, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.’s captive management unit, Artex Risk Solutions Inc., has acquired Cayman Islands-based Chandler Insurance Management Ltd. for an undisclosed amount.
