To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Foreign reinsurers seek on par treatment with Indian reinsurers

Foreign reinsurers are likely to approach the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India for their Indian branches to be treated on a par with Indian reinsurers to source business, Moneycontrol.com reported. Currently, reinsurance follows an order of preference with the General Insurance Corporation of India given the first right of refusal in getting business. Foreign reinsurers' branches receive the business only if GIC Re refuses it. The size of the country's reinsurance market is estimated to be about 300 billion Indian rupees ($4.7 billion).
