Contaminated baby food recall spreads to 83 countries

Emmanuel Besnier, chief executive of France-based dairy giant Groupe Lactalis S.A., said that the salmonella scandal at its Craon plant has affected 83 countries and 12 million boxes of powdered baby milk are being recalled, The Insider Car News reported citing BFM TV. The recall includes all infant formula milk products that are still in warehouses and on store shelves regardless of the date of manufacture. Mr. Besnier said that the Craon plant was likely to remain closed for several months following the scandal.
