Insurers mull raising premiums for high-rises: Experts

Insurance industry experts said that insurers are considering raising premiums for tall buildings in Britain with inflammable cladding panels and no sprinklers following the Grenfell fire in London in June, Reuters reported. The insurers are also considering excluding related risks. The type of cladding used on Grenfell Tower and many other buildings has failed government safety tests and some insurers are now reluctant to cover them, particularly for buildings under construction, experts said.
