Ironshore names Bermuda property executivesReprints
Ironshore Inc. said Wednesday that it has name Ian Smith as senior vice president, head of Bermuda property, and Shane Rozario as chief operating officer, Bermuda property.
Messrs. Smith and Rozario will broaden their current underwriting responsibilities to lead the Bermuda team to bolster the property portfolio established with the launch of Ironshore in 2007, the insurer said in a statement.
A company spokeswoman said the two men are not replacing anyone.
Mr. Smith joined Ironshore in 2013 as vice president, property underwriter. Prior to joining Ironshore, Mr. Smith spent five years with Arch Insurance (Bermuda) where he underwrote their technical risk book which include both energy and international Property accounts.
Mr. Rozario joined Ironshore at its inception in 2007 as head of property claims and currently serves as a director of Ironshore Insurance Ltd. Previously, Mr. Rozario was vice president of property and energy claims with XL Capital in Bermuda, now XL Catlin.
“Ian and Shane are seasoned employees of Ironshore with a proven track record of success and contributions, bringing a wealth of experience to their respective new roles within Bermuda Property,” Mitchell Blaser, Ironshore Bermuda’s CEO, said in a statement.
