BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Natural disaster claims hurt Tower's results

Claims related to the November 2016 Kaikōura earthquake, September 2010 Canterbury quake, Port Hills fires in February and cyclone Debbie in March and April led to a loss of $8.2 million New Zealand ($5.7 million) for New Zealand-based insurer Tower Ltd. in the fiscal half year ended March 31, Radio New Zealand reported. Excluding these one-off costs of NZD 20 million, Tower's underlying profit grew 8% to NZD 8.1 million. The insurer recorded a loss of NZD 8.7 million in the fiscal half year ended March 31, 2016.
