Foreign insurers likely to invest in Iran in coming months: Official

Abdolnasser Hemmati, president of Iran's insurance regulator Central Insurance of Iran, said that a couple of foreign insurers plan to invest in the nation in the next two or three months, Financial Tribune reports. "Foreign companies have been negotiating with Iranian insurance entities to buy their shares," Mr. Hemmati said. He added that a new law allows foreign companies to buy up to 49% stake in local insurers.
