Austria sues Airbus and aerospace consortium for fraud

Austria has sued Dutch aeronautics firm Airbus Group S.E. and European aerospace consortium Eurofighter Typhoon for alleged fraud and incurred damage up to an estimated €1.1 billion ($1.17 billion), Reuters reports. Airbus and Eurofighter misled Austria in a €2-billion jet order in 2003, the nation's defense ministry said. The ministry added that Airbus and the consortium illegally charged nearly 10% of the purchase price of nearly €2 billion for offset deals.
