BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Lloyd's of London names Eric Gao head of region

Lloyd's of London has named Eric Gao head of the Greater China Region, reported Asia Insurance Review.

Mr. Gao has been chairman and chief executive of Lloyd's Insurance Co. (China) Ltd. since 2008. In his new role, Mr. Gao will lead teams based in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong. Lloyd's has also appointed Tom Haddrill as Hong Kong general representative. Mr. Haddrill will be responsible for liaising with market practitioners and regulatory authorities to maintain Lloyd's presence in Hong Kong.
