The Association of British Insurers said that more than 15,000 insurance claims have been made due to the floods caused by December 2015 storms Desmond, Eva and Frank, Belfast Telegraph reports.
The average cost of each domestic claim is around £50,000 ($73,180).
About 85% of the over 15,000 claims have been paid partly or fully, said the ABI.
Insurers are expected to spend around £1.3 billion on repairs, the association said.
