Lloyd's Chairman John Nelson to retire

John Nelson, chairman of Lloyd's of London, has confirmed he will step down in May 2017.
In a speech in New York, Mr. Nelson said he would retire at the Lloyd's annual general meeting in May next year, ahead of the October 2017 expiration of his current term.
Speaking at Lloyd's New York City Dinner Thursday, Mr. Nelson said he planned to retire at the AGM: “So I am not done yet!”
A spokesman for Lloyd's said that the market had no further comment to make at this time on Mr. Nelson's potential successor.
