Storms Eva and Frank cause insured losses of $767 million in U.K.: Perils

Perils A.G. has estimated storms Eva and Frank in the U.K. to have cost the nation's insurance and reinsurance industry £526 million ($767 million), reports Artemis.bm.

Perils' estimate includes loss due to floods caused by storms Eva and Frank and other low pressure systems experienced from Dec. 25, 2015 to Jan. 14, 2016.

This loss estimate is in addition to insurance and reinsurance industry loss of around $1 billion caused by Storm Desmond.

Total insured loss from winter flooding in the United Kingdom amounts to $1.8 billion, according to Perils.
